Omicron Delta Community Service Activity

On April 28th, many of the conference attendees joined the Omicron Delta Executive Board in a walk to Hooray for Books.  Hooray for Books is a local children's book store in Alexandria, VA.  The book store staff chose a selection of books for conference attendees to donate to the Wright to Read program www.wrightoread.org, Omicron Delta’s community service activity for 2012.

Wright to Read is an educational program which promotes literacy through the tutoring and mentoring of elementary school students and outreach to the Alexandria community with the goal of helping students learn to read and learn to enjoy reading.  It was a rewarding activity for all that participated!
