STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS APPROVED JUNE 2006
Taking our lead from STTI, Omicron Delta has established goals in each of the five strategic directions:
Define “scholarship” and clarify our supportive approach process, communicating to all members what resources are available and distributing them based on application, need and merit.
Construct and maintain a “Scholarship/Research” page to share current projects members are involved with and to facilitate dialogue about what is research and scholarship.
Sponsor four board members to attend Chapter Leadership Academy each year and to report back to membership regarding highlights and lessons learned.
Create an “each one teach one” program.
Invite students to participate in local area programs and to be part of the “Fishbowl” discussion at the annual education day in 2007.
Integrate our service identity of “promoting healthy nurses” in all chapter activities.
Sponsor/participate in at least one fund raiser in every area of the chapter.
Host a local/national fundraiser incorporating healthy activity during the annual education day.
Create a virtual buddy system using UOP online expertise.
Define our “community” and identify three new ways to increase participation of faculty, staff, students and members.
Invest our savings in the most rewarding interest bearing product available.
Create a “Past Presidents' Advisory Council” to secure our expertise and historical perspectives.
